Notable decision from the Istanbul Governor's Office hours before CHP's Beyoğlu rally
In accordance with a decision by the Istanbul Governor's Office, the exits of the Şişhane station on the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line have been closed. This decision, taken just before the rally the CHP is holding in Beyoğlu today, has drawn attention.
The 'Defending the National Will' rallies organized by the Republican People's Party (CHP) for the release of imprisoned IMM Mayor and presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu and for early elections continue.
In this context, the CHP will hold a rally in front of the Beyoğlu Municipality today at 20:30.
Hours before the rally, the exits of the Şişhane station on the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line were closed.
The decision taken by the Istanbul Governor's Office was announced on Metro Istanbul's social media account. The statement included the following:
"In accordance with the decision taken by the Istanbul Governor's Office, until further notice, the Şişhane station of our M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line
-Şişhane Metro İstiklal Street Exit,
-Şişhane Metro Tax Office Exit,
-Şişhane Metro Beyoğlu Municipality Front exit will be closed to passenger operations."
