November 10 message from journalist Furkan Karabay, who was sent to prison

Journalist Furkan Karabay was arrested due to his reporting and social media posts regarding Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer, who was arrested and sent to prison in recent weeks, after which a trustee was appointed to his position. 10Haber reporter Karabay was brought before the court by the prosecutor's office with a direct request for arrest without being asked a single question. Karabay, who was arrested and sent to prison, shared his message regarding the 86th anniversary of Atatürk's passing via his social media account.

Karabay stated, "Following in the footsteps of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who paid the greatest price for this country, the struggle continues." 

SHARED FROM PRISON

In the aforementioned post, Karabay said the following: 

“As long as the Kuvva (National Forces) is not broken to the last person, hope will not run out in this country.” They will ask, "Are you the one who will save the country?" Even if we do not save it, we will continue to pay the price and make others pay the price. Following in the footsteps of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who paid the greatest price for this country, the struggle continues… We remember him with respect and longing.
