In the MGSB, which also addressed the risks and opportunities brought about by the global transition from a rules-based international order to a multipolar system, it was stated that terrorism continues to be a significant domestic threat element.

'THE ATOMIC BOMB OF THE DIGITAL AGE'

According to a report by BBC Turkish, MIT Undersecretary İbrahim Kalın described artificial intelligence as the "atomic bomb of the digital age," stating that unregulated artificial intelligence studies directly threaten the future of humanity.

It is stated that in the updated MGSB, artificial intelligence is included as a threat element under the heading of cyber threats.

WORK NEARING COMPLETION

According to an AA report, it was stated that the work on updating the MGSB is nearing completion and that the matter is expected to be addressed at the first NSC meeting to be held under the chairmanship of President Erdoğan.

It was recalled that the document is updated at certain intervals according to changes in threats, and the last update was made in September 2019.
