The number of businesspeople owning jets in Turkey is breaking records. In 2024, the number of private jets increased by 43.6 percent, reaching 158. While the price of the most expensive jet reaches 80 million dollars, some businesspeople are drawing attention with their fleets.
Turkey increased its number of private jets from 110 in 2023 to 158 in 2024, a rise of 43.6 percent. With this increase, Turkey has moved into 13th place globally.
WHO HAS HOW MANY JETS?
According to an exclusive report by Nuray Tarhan in Forbes Magazine, while the number of businesspeople owning private jets is increasing, Mehmet Nazif Günal tops the list with his 80 million dollar Global 8000 jet. Mehmet Ali Aydınlar stands out in the rankings with his 79 million dollar Gulfstream G700, and Cengiz Holding with its 65 million dollar Gulfstream G650.
Names such as Ömer Koç, Fuat Tosyalı, and Mehmet Cengiz draw attention with their multiple jets.
Cemal Kalyoncu has two aircraft. One is a 43 million dollar Bombardier Global 5500, and the other is a 9 million 950 thousand dollar Bombardier Challenger 605.
Mehmet Cengiz also has two aircraft. A 65 million dollar General Dynamics Gulfstream G650 and a 19.5 million dollar Cessna Citation Latitude.
Ömer Koç is also among those who own 2 jets. One of these is a 62 million dollar Dassault Systems Falcon 8X and the other is a 57 million dollar Dassault Systems Falcon 6X.
Fuat Tosyalı also has a 53 million dollar Dassault Systems Falcon 7X and a 16 million dollar Falcon 2000S from the same company.
THEY RENT THEM OUT WHEN NOT IN USE
It is stated that private jets provide a cost advantage for those who fly 300 hours or more annually. However, their monthly expenses range between 50 and 100 thousand dollars. Businesspeople generate additional income by renting out their jets when they are not using them.
