Öcalan rift in the People's Alliance: 'Let me underline this'

BBP Chairman Destici has joined the debate surrounding MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's "Öcalan" call.

Speaking at a press conference at his party's Istanbul provincial headquarters, Destici, without mentioning Bahçeli by name, said, "Let me underline this once more; there is no negotiation with terror or terrorists, there is only struggle."

"WE MUST NOT BE BITTEN BY THE SAME SNAKES FROM THE SAME HOLE"

Mustafa Destici stated that Turkey has sat at the table many times in the past, but the state and the nation have lost every time, adding, "We saw this very clearly and plainly during the last Solution Process. We must not be bitten by the same snakes from the same hole. Struggle is our only path."

Expressing that the negotiation process has empowered the terrorist organization and its supporters in the past, Destici said, "Whenever a table was sat at or talks began, the terrorist organization always gained strength during those periods.

Its political parties, non-governmental organizations, and financiers gained strength.

Those who stood by the integrity of the state and the country, however, were the ones who lost."
