Occupancy rate in Istanbul dams rises to 49.88 percent

However, with the recent rainfall, the occupancy rate in Istanbul's dams has risen to 49.88 percent, according to the latest data released by the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ).

Occupancy rate in Istanbul dams rises to 49.88 percent

The rainfall effective in Istanbul has continued to raise water levels in the dams. According to data from the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), the average occupancy rate of the dams has been recorded as 49.88 percent as of now. Due to the climate crisis and the impact of drought in the city, the dam occupancy rate had previously fallen to as low as 16.18 percent.

According to İSKİ data, as of December 19, the dam occupancy rates in Istanbul are as follows:

Alibey Dam 61.59 percent

Büyükçekmece Dam 39.71 percent

Darlık Dam 60.09 percent

Istrancalar Dam 98.03 percent

Kazandere Dam 44.2 percent

Elmalı Dam 88.62 percent

Ömerli Dam 67.85 percent

Pabuçdere Dam 26.24 percent

Sazlıdere Dam 30.74 percent
