In Cappadocia, the land of beautiful horses, hot air balloons soared over the fairy chimneys on October 29, adorned with Turkish flags and posters of Atatürk.
Hot air balloons, which offer the opportunity to view natural beauties from the sky, carried out their flights this time with Turkish flags and posters of Atatürk hung on their baskets for Republic Day.
Dozens of balloons prepared for flight in the town of Göreme in Nevşehir soared for about an hour with the sunrise.
Hot air balloon pilot Ömür Şekeryapan stated that he was celebrating the Turkish nation's holiday, saying, "We organize tours with balloons every day, but today we are flying with our flags; we are proud. We will be in the skies of the region with our local and foreign guests."
