Oğuz Murat Aci case: Demirören files compensation lawsuit against Kısa Dalga

The Demirören family has filed a lawsuit against Kısa Dalga for publishing its own statement regarding 17-year-old Timur Cihantimur, who caused the death of Oğuz Murat Aci in an accident while driving without a license.

The family is seeking 150 thousand TL in compensation from Kısa Dalga, which had cited a report from Halk TV that relied on a 'high-level figure from the Demirören Group'.

'HTS RECORDS WILL REVEAL EVERYTHING'

The unnamed high-level official in the report had made a statement regarding the allegation that Emre Cemal Demirören, the son of Yıldırım Demirören and Revna Demirören, was also in the vehicle involved in the accident, stating: "Cemal Demirören is studying abroad. He has not been to Turkey for 2-3 months. The only thing he has in common with the young man who caused the accident and fled is that they attended the same middle school. Aside from that, there is no relationship or connection between them. He is abroad for his education. The two children were just close friends during middle school. In any case, HTS records will reveal everything."

In their application to the Beykoz Civil Court of First Instance, the Demirören family alleged that the reports were made with malicious intent and that the Demirören family's reputation had been tarnished. They stated that their 16-year-old son is studying abroad and has no connection to the accident.

The petition stated: "Since this lie and slander were put forward, our client has been in deep sorrow and grief. This situation is negatively affecting our client's daily life. The trauma experienced by our client has not been limited to him alone; his family and close circle have also been negatively affected by this situation."
