Evaluating the public reaction to the post, AKP Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik issued a statement on his social media account, thanking those who sent messages of support.

In his statement, Çelik included the following remarks:

"From time to time, certain individuals and circles that are 'enemies of Turkey' make so-called threats against our President. These are essentially null and void.

The common reaction shown by all segments of our society against these so-called threats and targeting is very valuable, as is the sense of national unity and solidarity. Our President is the head of our state. Threats and targeting directed at our President by dark foreign circles mean that the Republic of Turkey and our entire nation are being targeted. The national reaction of our citizens from all walks of life against the so-called threats of dark circles shows our unity and integrity to the whole world."
