One soldier martyred in Pençe-Kilit region

The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that one soldier was martyred during a search and sweep operation in the Pençe-Kilit operation region following contact with members of the separatist terrorist organization.

In the statement made by the MSB, it was stated: “In the Pençe-Kilit operation region, on June 21, 2024, our heroic comrade-in-arms, Infantry Sergeant Mehmet Ali Horoz, was martyred during a search and sweep operation following contact with members of the separatist terrorist organization. During the contact, 3 terrorists were neutralized, and operations in the region are ongoing. We wish Allah’s mercy upon our dear martyr who lost his life in this incident that has plunged us into deep pain and sorrow, and we extend our condolences and patience to his grieving family, the Turkish Armed Forces, and our noble nation."

SAD NEWS REACHES THE FAMILY

Military officials delivered the tragic news to the family of the soldier who was martyred in the operation in Kahramanmaraş. Officials who arrived at the martyr's home in the Hasancıklı neighborhood of the Onikişubat district extended their condolences to the family. Mehmet Ali Horoz's relatives could not hold back their tears upon receiving the painful news. It was learned that the martyr will be laid to rest in the Hasancıklı Cemetery following the funeral prayer to be held at the Hasancıklı Mosque tomorrow after the noon prayer.
