Online pet adoption system launched in Turgutlu

Drawing attention with its initiatives for stray animals, Turgutlu Municipality has implemented an online application service for citizens who wish to adopt stray animals currently at the Temporary Animal Care Home. Turgutlu Mayor Çetin Akın, along with Deputy Mayors Evren Erbaş and Ali Rıza Kıran, introduced the new project designed for stray animals. The project, which makes it easy for stray animals to find new and warm homes, has earned the appreciation and praise of animal lovers.

While veterinary teams affiliated with the Turgutlu Municipality Cleaning Affairs Directorate carry out care and treatment procedures for stray animals hosted at the Temporary Animal Care Home, their information is simultaneously uploaded to the Turgutlu Municipality pet adoption website to ensure they find safe and permanent homes. The Turgutlu Municipality website features detailed information such as photos, breeds, genders, and ages of the animals waiting to be adopted, as well as application forms. This allows animal lovers to start the adoption process much more practically. Turgutlu Mayor Çetin Akın said, “We had achieved a first in our Manisa. We established our Loyal Friends Food Production Center for our dear friends who cannot make their voices heard on the streets. We are now signing off on another very important project. We have opened our pet adoption website for the use of our fellow citizens to help our cute dear friends find new and warm homes. In this way, our animal lovers will be able to start the adoption process much more practically. The goal of our project is to guide our fellow citizens who want to adopt our dear friends who have to live on the streets and to ensure they live in a more peaceful environment."
