Operation against 2 rival criminal organizations: 47 people captured
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 47 suspects were captured in the 'Kuyu-9' operations conducted against 2 rival criminal organizations in 6 provinces, centered in Istanbul.
The 'Kuyu-9' operation was carried out against 2 rival criminal organizations, led by fugitive Abdullah Çapkan, who is abroad, and Ramazan Taş, who is currently in prison, in Istanbul and the provinces of Samsun, Kocaeli, Siirt, Diyarbakır, and Malatya.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya reported that 47 suspects were captured during the operation, 46 of whom were arrested, while judicial control measures were imposed on 1.
Furthermore, 20 unlicensed pistols and various amounts of narcotics were seized during the operation.
Yerlikaya's statement is as follows:
