Operation against 54 drug dealers in Mersin: 430 police officers participated

According to the information received, teams from the Provincial Security Directorate's Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch carried out a planned operation coordinated by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office targeting "street dealers," known as "torbacı" (baggers), involved in drug trafficking. During the investigation, which lasted approximately 2 months in the city center and surrounding districts, police identified 54 individuals determined to be involved in drug trafficking. At dawn today, an operation was launched at 54 addresses with the participation of 430 personnel from 110 teams, including special operations units, and narcotic detector dogs.
It was reported that the detention of the identified suspects is ongoing and search operations at the addresses are continuing.
