Operation against the Barış Boyun criminal organization! Large quantity of ammunition seized

Thirteen people were captured in the Mahzen-19 operations, which have been ongoing for 3 days in the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, targeting the organized crime group led by fugitive Barış Boyun, who is abroad.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya reported that within the scope of the operation, 1 LAW anti-tank weapon, 3 hand grenades, 1 AK-47 long-barreled automatic weapon, 2 pistols, 1 pump-action shotgun, 74 AK-47 cartridges, 1 AK-47 magazine, 5 pistol magazines, 15 pistol cartridges, 31 pump-action shotgun cartridges, 3 ski masks, and 2 stolen motorcycles without license plates were seized.

In his statement, Yerlikaya said, "As a result of the work carried out by the Tekirdağ Provincial Police Department and the Tekirdağ Provincial Gendarmerie Command under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Department, it was determined that the members of the organized crime group, who were preparing for an assassination under instructions given from abroad by ringleader Barış Boyun, had committed the crimes of establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes, intentional homicide, armed attack and attempted intentional homicide, theft, and violation of Law No. 6136."
