Operation against FETÖ's secret communication network
Detention warrants were issued for 13 suspects in an Ankara-based investigation. 10 people were apprehended in a simultaneous operation.
Within the scope of an investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 10 suspects were detained in an operation targeting the current IT structure of FETÖ/PDY.
The investigation was carried out in coordination with the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and the Ankara Provincial Security Directorate's Counter-Terrorism Branch.
As a result of efforts to decrypt the Signal encrypted communication program, which is stated to be used by FETÖ/PDY, 13 suspects were identified who are considered to be operating within the organization's current IT structure.
Following the instructions of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a simultaneous operation was launched on September 1, 2026, to apprehend the suspects. 10 of the 13 suspects for whom detention warrants were issued were captured.
It was reported that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the 3 suspects who remain at large.
