Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that the "Sibergöz-13" operation was carried out in Istanbul against Forex investment scammers linked to international fraud gangs. A total of 73 people, including 8 Turks and 65 foreign nationals, were taken into custody as part of the operation.

"FRAUD DETECTED"

"Our operations will continue to increase against those who disturb the peace of our people and set their sights on our nation's money," said Yerlikaya. "Our Istanbul Police Department's Cyber Crimes Combat Branch determined that foreign individuals were entering and exiting an office located on the lower floor of a workplace in Maslak, Sarıyer, Istanbul, and that those entering were being checked and admitted via a card-based security system. It was determined that the suspects in the 'Sibergöz-13' operation were committing fraud under the guise of Forex investment with organizations linked abroad."

MANY ITEMS SEIZED

Minister Yerlikaya said, "During the searches conducted in the operation, 103 PCs and numerous connected monitors, 200 phones, 3 unlicensed pistols, 50 thousand dollars in foreign currency, 178 thousand TL, a large amount of digital and written documentation, and numerous printed investment forms prepared in English were seized."

In the continuation of his post, Minister Yerlikaya noted: "I congratulate our heroic police officers who carried out the operations. May God protect them. Our nation's prayers are with you. We will not give any breathing room to those who disturb the peace of our people. We are determined to bring them all to justice one by one."
