Operation at IMM subsidiary Medya AŞ... Police conduct raid

It has been reported that an investigation has been launched into the financial transactions of Istanbul Medya A.Ş. Police teams conducted an operation at the company and seized a computer containing accounting records. It was learned that files related to the company's procurement and tender processes were handed over to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for examination.

Acting on the instructions of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, financial crimes police teams carried out a search at the offices of Istanbul Medya A.Ş. It was learned that the operation was conducted as part of an investigation into the company's financial transactions.

Police teams met with the company's General Manager Fatoş Pınar Türker to obtain information about its operations. The Chairman of the Board of Medya A.Ş., Murat Ongun, has not yet made a statement.

COMPUTERS AT MEDYA AŞ SEIZED

During the search, files related to procurement and tender processes were seized. Additionally, a computer containing accounting records was taken by the police for examination.

It was stated that the examinations were initiated to conduct a detailed investigation into the company's financial transactions.

Istanbul Medya A.Ş. operated as one of the subsidiaries of the IMM. The company is known to be tasked with managing the media and communication activities of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

REASON FOR THE OPERATION REVEALED

Allegedly, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office received a tip-off that data had been deleted from computers at Medya A.Ş. Following the tip-off, the Prosecutor's Office mobilized police teams.

According to a report by Gerçek Gündem, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office seized a computer belonging to the accounting department from which data was allegedly deleted. It has not been clarified whether the investigation had begun before the aforementioned tip-off.

Due to the confidentiality of the investigation, it is not expected that officials from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office will share information. After completing their examinations at Medya A.Ş., the police teams delivered the seized computer and files to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
