Operations in 81 provinces: Thousands of fugitives captured

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on his social media account that 'Çember-21' (Circle-21) operations have been conducted across 81 provinces over the last 5 days 'targeting wanted individuals'.

Minister Yerlikaya stated the following:

"The circle continues to tighten for fugitive criminals.

In the 'ÇEMBER-21' operations conducted across 81 provinces over the last 5 days 'targeting wanted individuals', 4,491 fugitives with active arrest warrants were captured!

Duration for which the captured individuals were wanted:

4,455 individuals wanted for 0-5 years,

19 individuals wanted for 5-10 years,

17 individuals wanted for 10 years or more were captured in the 'ÇEMBER-21' operations!

Crimes for which the captured individuals were wanted:

690 individuals for theft,

291 individuals for fraud,

130 individuals for robbery,

118 individuals for homicide,

128 individuals for sexual offenses,

860 individuals for narcotics offenses,

26 individuals for terrorism,

400 individuals for KOM (Smuggling and Organized Crime) offenses, along with those captured for other crimes, a total of 4,491 individuals have been delivered to justice.

These individuals were captured and delivered to justice during road checks, home and workplace raids, and identity checks conducted by our Provincial Gendarmerie Commands, Provincial Security Directorates, and Coast Guard Command across 81 provinces."
