A high bill issued by a restaurant in Galata, one of Istanbul's tourist areas, for four tourists has sparked reactions on social media. Four tourists who came from the German city of Stuttgart to watch the Fenerbahçe match were met with an unexpected bill at the fish restaurant they chose for dinner.
TOURISTS WERE TAKEN TO THE RESTAURANT BY A TAXI DRIVER
According to the report by Rojda Altıntaş, the tourists were directed to the restaurant in Galata by a taxi driver. At the end of the meal, the bill presented to them totaled 59,000 TL (approximately 1,229 Euros).
ITEMS ON THE BILL DREW ATTENTION
The shared bill included: 10 beers, 8 double rakis, 6 oysters, 1.5 kilograms of sea bass, 1.5 kilograms of sea bream, 2 kilograms of grouper, an appetizer platter, and 6 portions of jumbo shrimp in butter.
The price list on the bill showed that the sea bream was charged at 6,450 TL and the sea bass at 6,600 TL.
