ORC releases poll results: The party favored by tradespeople and housewives has been revealed
Polls conducted to keep a pulse on the agenda can sometimes yield different results. While the number and diversity of the surveyed group determine the outcomes, the results of a recent poll asking for the preferences of tradespeople and women have been released.
Political and economic developments in Turkey are also influencing voters' political party preferences. ORC Research recently investigated the political party preferences of tradespeople and housewives.
With events that closely concern and affect the public, such as operations targeting CHP-run municipalities, the economic bottleneck, the 2026 minimum wage, and the lowest pension amount, the AKP continues to lose votes rapidly.
In surveys conducted with young people, workers, and retirees, an increase in the CHP's vote share was observed across all categories, while the AKP was seen to be experiencing a rapid loss of votes.
ORC Research Company recently shared the results of its survey conducted with tradespeople and housewives.
In the survey conducted between January 20-22 with 1,120 small and medium-sized business owners in 26 provinces, tradespeople were asked, "If there were a general election this Sunday, which party would you vote for?"
According to the survey results, the Republican People's Party (CHP) emerged as the leading party with 34.3 percent.
The AKP remained in second place in this poll with 29.4 percent.
The vote shares of other political parties in the survey conducted with tradespeople are as follows:
MHP: 6.5 percent
DEM Party: 5.5 percent
İYİ Party: 4.6 percent
New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi): 3.9 percent
Victory Party (Zafer Partisi): 3.7 percent
Felicity Party (Saadet Partisi): 1.7 percent
WHICH POLITICAL PARTY DO HOUSEWIVES PREFER?
ORC Research also asked housewives the question, "If there were a general election this Sunday, which party would you vote for?" during the same dates.
In the results of the survey, in which 780 housewives from 26 provinces participated, the CHP became the leading party with 34.9 percent of the vote. The AKP remained in second place with 32 percent.
The vote shares of other political parties in the survey conducted with housewives are as follows:
MHP: 6.1 percent
