Osman Gökçek, son of former Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gökçek, targeted the Gezi protests and Berkin Elvan.
Speaking at the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), AKP member Gökçek stated, “Gezi is a terrorist act. Those who put explosives in Berkin Elvan’s pocket and sent those children out into the streets are the foremost of those terrorists.”

Gezi is a terrorist act. Explain the reason why CNN international television crews were set up there six hours before the Gezi protests began. What were your demands in Gezi? It was that the airport should not be built. Currently, Istanbul Airport has become the number one airport in Europe and the seventh in the world. Know this.
