Osman Gökçek targets Gezi!

Osman Gökçek, son of former Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gökçek, targeted the Gezi protests and Berkin Elvan.

Speaking at the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), AKP member Gökçek stated, “Gezi is a terrorist act. Those who put explosives in Berkin Elvan’s pocket and sent those children out into the streets are the foremost of those terrorists.”  

AKP Ankara MP Osman Gökçek said the following:

“Those who hung photos of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and Abdullah Öcalan side by side in Gezi Park are talking to us about freedom. Those who burned Turkish flags on Meşrutiyet Street are talking to us about freedom. Those who burned vehicles for the disabled in Ankara, those who ripped up paving stones and threw them at people, those who plunged Turkey into a 100 billion dollar crisis, and those who burned the vehicles of NTV and other media organizations are talking to us about freedom.

Gezi is a terrorist act. Explain the reason why CNN international television crews were set up there six hours before the Gezi protests began. What were your demands in Gezi? It was that the airport should not be built. Currently, Istanbul Airport has become the number one airport in Europe and the seventh in the world. Know this. Of course, who are those who did not want this airport to be built in Turkey? Foreign powers.

Those who do not want Turkish Airlines (THY) to reach this position are those who act as subcontractors for foreign powers. Those who put explosives in Berkin Elvan’s pocket and sent those children out into the streets are the foremost of those terrorists. Turkey is a democratic country.
