Outrage over femicides! 'Beat it into their heads...'
Reactions to violence against women and femicides are growing. Following the two femicides in Fatih, famous actress Ezgi Mola expressed her anger and emphasized that perpetrators must face punishment. Mola said, "How will this brutality end? It will end when justice is served." Stating that femicides have reached a horrific state, Mola pointed to the necessity of laws and stated, "The perpetrator must go to prison; it must be beaten into people's heads that this is a crime."
In Fatih, Semih Çelik decapitated İkbal Uzuner and threw her head from the Edirnekapı walls. Çelik then jumped from the walls and committed suicide. It was revealed that Çelik had murdered another 19-year-old woman before the incident.
Reactions from famous figures to these events were not delayed. Ezgi Mola was asked about the femicides. The famous actress did not hold back...

VENTED HER ANGER
Arguing that criminals must face their punishment and go to prison, Ezgi Mola said, "We are exhausted from hearing something new every day. How will this brutality end? When people see that criminals are punished, when they go to prison... It will end when justice is served...

'THERE NEEDS TO BE A LAW'
These femicides are in a horrific state and unfortunately, nothing is being done... We need to be a bit realistic. This cannot be fate. Precautions must be taken. There needs to be a law. We need to see the consequences of this. If it continues like this, femicides will not end. The perpetrator must be punished, the perpetrator must go to prison. It must be beaten into people's heads that this is a crime," she said, venting her anger.
