Owner of Şafak Hospital, mentioned in the Newborn Gang investigation, speaks out: 'We have an issue in the field of ophthalmology'
Seçim Öztürk, the owner of Private Şafak Hospital, which is alleged to have caused millions of liras in public losses, made statements during a live broadcast.
Seçim Öztürk, the owner of Private Şafak Hospital, whose license was revoked on September 28 following the Newborn Gang operation, joined Halk TV's Kayda Geçsin program via a phone connection.
Öztürk responded to the accusations directed at his hospital during the live broadcast.

Claiming that no incorrect invoices were submitted to the Social Security Institution (SGK), Öztürk stated that products purchased from a company were invoiced and that the total fees received were not derived from surgeries or other operations.
Seçim Öztürk said that during the investigation period, over a two-year process, no babies died in their hospital.
Şafak Hospital owner Öztürk also denied reports regarding the hospital's relocation to Sakarya, despite it being located in Gaziosmanpaşa, Istanbul.
Regarding the reporting of 16 thousand incorrect eye surgeries, hospital owner Seçim Öztürk said, "Yes, we have an issue in the field of ophthalmology."
Öztürk stated that his hospital is continuing its operations and has not been closed.
