Özel front in CHP to apply to court tomorrow for an extraordinary convention: The next steps are clear

Emre announced that they will apply to the Civil Court of Peace tomorrow for an extraordinary convention.

Stating that preparations must be made in the face of efforts to prevent the CHP from entering the election, Zeynel Emre said, "We have an application pending at the Court of Cassation against the nullity decision." Emre stated that it is essential for the Court of Cassation to issue a decision in accordance with the law before the judicial recess, which begins on July 20.

"Along with this, we are of course discussing different options in our own meetings," Emre said, noting that they would share these with the public as they become concrete.

Noting that they have collected and declared more than enough signatures for an extraordinary convention, Emre said, "We see that these deadlines have also been exceeded. Since we see that the legal period has passed since the notification, we will apply to the Civil Court of Peace as of tomorrow regarding both issues."

"It is clear what will be done if the necessary action is not taken. An application is being made to the Civil Court of Peace. And here, the appointment of a convocation committee to hold the convention is requested. When this debate took place before, there were those who wanted to take the matter elsewhere. You apply to the Civil Court of Peace. A three-person convocation committee is tasked solely with holding the convention. They cannot make any payments other than salaries. They cannot perform any other transactions. They cannot dismiss anyone, make appointments, or do anything else; they only take the party to the convention. And for this purpose, we will make our application as of tomorrow."
