CHP İstanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik evaluated the recount of votes in Gaziosmanpaşa via his X account. In his post, Çelik stated that he had spoken with the Governor of Istanbul regarding the dispute that arose at the District Election Board.
Çelik's post is as follows:
"The insistence of one of the three election boards on conducting a recount while the Supreme Election Council (YSK) was in session, following our objection to the District Election Board's recount decision in Gaziosmanpaşa, is a result of political pressure.
I spoke with the Istanbul Governor regarding the footage of the chaos that emerged at the District Election Board; the necessary security measures will be taken.
We will not allow the will expressed at the ballot box to be altered behind closed doors. We are at our posts with our deputies and our organization."

Regarding the footage of the chaos that emerged at the District Election Board...
AKP İstanbul MP Adem Yıldırım, In a video he posted on his X account, he stated that CHP members did not want to allow the Provincial Election Board's decision to be implemented.
Yıldırım's post is as follows:
"In Gaziosmanpaşa, it was decided that the district election board's decision and the provincial election board's decision given upon objection would be implemented at 10:00 AM, and despite it being 11:15 AM, CHP party members are trying to prevent the counting process by pressuring the judge and the board.
However, the work being done is merely the implementation of a court decision."
We are having difficulty understanding why CHP members do not want the court decision to be implemented!"
The district election board's decision, and the provincial election board's decision following the objection, were scheduled to be implemented at 10:00 AM. Despite it being 11:15 AM, CHP party members are attempting to block the counting process by pressuring the judge and the board.
