Özgür Demirtaş reacts to the reporting style of the dismissal of lieutenants who took the oath with swords: 'May God damn you'; he could not remain indifferent to the disrespect shown

The investigation launched regarding the oath taken with swords by newly graduated lieutenants after the Military Academy graduation ceremony, following their chant of 'We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal,' has been completed.

Ebru Eroğlu, the top graduate of the Military Academy who received her diploma from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, had led the oath-taking ceremony with swords.

REFERRED TO THE DISCIPLINARY BOARD WITH A REQUEST FOR DISMISSAL

It was notified to Eroğlu that she had been referred to the High Disciplinary Board with a request for dismissal. The number of lieutenants whose dismissal is sought along with Eroğlu has risen to 2.

The lieutenants were referred to the High Disciplinary Board under Article 20, Paragraph C of the Turkish Armed Forces Disciplinary Law, which is defined as 'engaging in attitudes and behaviors that damage the reputation of the State and the Turkish Armed Forces, or committing acts that constitute serious crimes or indiscipline.'

The website named Ensonhaber, which carried the news of the dismissal on its page, shared this news on its social media account with the phrases: 'Look at the malice and hatred on her face! What does it matter if you finish first, you are an enemy to the majority of the nation... She is about to be fired, don't worry, the CHP will make you a deputy, you won't be unemployed.'

While many social media users found this post by the website disrespectful and damaging to personal rights, economist Özgür Demirtaş shared the social media cover prepared by Ensonhaber for the dismissal news on his own page and expressed his reaction with the words, 'May God damn you for this visual.'
