Economist Prof. Dr. Özgür Demirtaş responded to a social media post about him by Furkan Bölükbaşı, whom he described as an 'Aktrol'.

Responding to Bölükbaşı, who asked how he could afford a Rolex watch worth over 15 thousand dollars in a photo taken in July 2016 on a standard faculty salary, Demirtaş spoke about the salaries earned by finance professors in the US.

"WHILE YOU WERE BEING RAISED AS A FETÖ-AFFILIATED TROLL"

"While you were still being raised as a FETÖ-affiliated troll in a flowerpot, I was working as a professor in the US," said Demirtaş, writing the following:

"You wouldn't know this now: Finance professors in the US earn between 300-600 thousand dollars. That is to say, I could afford not just a measly watch, but enough to buy a dozen trolls and tie them to the front door."
