Özgür Özel and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu attended Levent Bayraktar's funeral
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu attended the funeral of Mehmet Levent Bayraktar, the party's TBMM Group Director, who passed away at the hospital where he was receiving treatment.
Republican People's Party (CHP) TBMM Group Director Mehmet Levent Bayraktar passed away yesterday (April 18).
A funeral ceremony was held for Bayraktar at Kocatepe Mosque.
The ceremony was attended by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, CHP executives and members of parliament, party members, family relatives, and colleagues. Those attending the ceremony offered their condolences to Bayraktar's wife, Eser Bayraktar, and his daughter, Sezin Bayraktar.
Özel and Kılıçdaroğlu, who stood side by side at the funeral, chatted for a while.
Following the funeral prayer held after the Friday prayer, Bayraktar's body was taken to Karşıyaka Cemetery to be laid to rest. Özel, who carried Bayraktar's coffin on his shoulder alongside Kılıçdaroğlu, sat in the front seat of the funeral transport vehicle.
