Call from Özgür Özel regarding the newborn gang! 'Let's nationalize those hospitals without compensation'

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel spoke at the Right to Life Rally held in Beşiktaş, Istanbul. Özel began his speech by commemorating those who lost their lives in the TUSAŞ attack.

"OUR REPUBLIC STANDS TALL AND WILL NOT SURRENDER TO TERRORISM"

Condemning terrorism, Özgür Özel said, "While the goal of terrorism is to frighten us, to intimidate us, to change our lives according to its own targets, and to impose a direction on us through the fear it creates, thousands of greetings to those who have overcome that fear, broken it, and rushed here. Welcome to those who do not fear, do not remain silent, and do not surrender to terrorism and violence. We have come to challenge together the terrorism that tries to mortgage the future of this country and the violence that holds every aspect of our lives hostage. For 40 years, our country has been a target, primarily of the PKK and various other terrorist organizations. Our nation has lost lives in terrorist attacks, given martyrs, and suffered greatly. In addition to security forces, public personnel, healthcare workers, laborers, civilians, and teachers have been the targets of these attacks. In these days when we will celebrate the 101st anniversary of our Republic in two days, our Republic stands tall and will not surrender to terrorism," he stated.

"LET'S NATIONALIZE THOSE HOSPITALS WITHOUT COMPENSATION"

Recalling the operations against the newborn gang, Özel said, "While the deaths were known, while the activities of this gang were known, they kept those hospitals open. There were operations, detentions, and arrests, but they kept those hospitals running smoothly for another 6 months until the public heard about it. When someone threatened the prosecutor and the prosecutor expressed the situation once more due to the threat against them, the public heard, public outrage occurred, and that was the day they turned around and revoked the licenses of those hospitals.

To be a deterrent, to be an example for all to see, so that the revoked licenses of those hospitals do not come before us again under a different name, and so that there are no stays of execution by court order, we must nationalize those hospitals without compensation. Come on, bring it to parliament and let's do this," he said.
