Özgür Özel had pointed to that lawyer with the words 'he established an IMM exchange': Released under house arrest
A decision has been reached regarding lawyer Yıldırım, who was mentioned in the "IMM exchange" allegations and pointed to by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel. The duty Magistrate Judge ordered the release of lawyer Mehmet Yıldırım and Mehmet Mithat Turan under house arrest.
Lawyer Mehmet Yıldırım, who is at the center of the "IMM exchange" allegations, and the suspect Mehmet Mithat Turan, who was caught with him, were referred to the court with a request for release under judicial control, as the charges against them carry a prohibition on arrest.
Following the interrogation, the prosecutor requested judicial control for lawyer Mehmet Yıldırım on charges of "securing benefits for a job for which one is not authorized," and for the other suspect, Mehmet Mithat Turan, on charges of "aiding and abetting a criminal."
House arrest was requested for Yıldırım, while a travel ban and house arrest were requested for Mehmet Mithat Turan. The suspects were referred to the duty Magistrate Judge.
