Özgür Özel speaks from Avcılar: 'They are trying to smear our mayor's spotless reputation'

Özel made statements in front of the Avcılar Municipality.

Özgür Özel said, "Avcılar Mayor Utku Caner Çaykara is a brother of mine who came to this office at a young age with the support and choice of Avcılar, whom I personally vouch for and whose wedding I even witnessed; he is extremely honest and hardworking. 

We stand behind him all the way. Do you know what they are accusing Utku Caner Çaykara of? Not a tender, not a bribe. 

Everything they say about these things is slander anyway, but here, someone claimed that Mayor Utku made a contribution to the CHP District Presidency for the election while he was a mayoral candidate. This is the AK Party. They receive election aid from all companies, from the mines of Manisa Soma to everywhere else. 

This is the MHP, they have their entire campaign funded by oil companies in Aliağa. During election times, all political parties form committees and hit the road to find resources. 

There is no information or document that this person made a contribution here, but just imagine, they are trying to smear the spotless reputation of our young mayor by claiming he received election aid," he stated.
