Özgür Özel: We have no tolerance for even the 'S' of Silivri tonight: Questioned on the possibility of arrest
After his speech in Saraçhane, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel went to the Çağlayan Courthouse with Dilek İmamoğlu, where he responded to a question regarding the possibility of Ekrem İmamoğlu's arrest.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel addressed hundreds of thousands of citizens from Saraçhane on the 4th day of the protests. Following his speech there, Özel went to the Çağlayan Courthouse with Ekrem İmamoğlu's wife, Dilek İmamoğlu, and responded to questions directed at him.
Responding to reporters who asked, 'What do you think about the possibility of Ekrem İmamoğlu being arrested?', Özel stated the following:
"We hope not to head toward Silivri tonight, but to take Mr. Ekrem from here and go to Saraçhane, even if it is in the morning hours...
That possibility would sink the Turkish economy to the bottom
That possibility would destroy Turkey's internal peace
Parliament cannot function
They would exhaust all possibilities for reconciliation
We have no tolerance for even the 'S' of Silivri tonight"
