Pakistan Prime Minister calls for restraint regarding the ceasefire

'I CALL ON BOTH SIDES TO EXERCISE RESTRAINT'

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warned in a statement on his social media account that the ceasefire that came into effect in the Middle East at midnight has not been fully implemented. Sharif stated that they have received reports of the ceasefire being broken in areas where the conflict is taking place. In his statement, the Prime Minister said, 'Reports of ceasefire violations have been received from various parts of the conflict zone, which undermine the spirit of the peace process. For diplomacy to continue, I sincerely and earnestly call on all parties to exercise restraint and adhere to the ceasefire as agreed upon for two weeks.'

Concerns regarding peace in the region are growing as the parties do not fully adhere to the agreement. Reports from Iran indicate that tensions could escalate. It was claimed by the country's official news agency that Iran has warned it may withdraw from the ceasefire agreement if Israel's attacks on Lebanon continue.

At the same time, the Israeli army stated that the attacks are continuing. In an official statement, it was reported that a total of 100 attacks were carried out from multiple points in just 10 minutes. The Israeli army stated that the targeted locations included command centers and military facilities allegedly belonging to Hezbollah. Information was also shared with the public that the waves of airstrikes carried out in Beirut, the Bekaa Valley, and southern Lebanon have ended.
