Parent who assaulted teacher during argument taken into custody

At Kale Şehit Ferhat Bozkurt Primary School in Kırıkkale, a primary school teacher was assaulted by a parent identified as Y.Ç. The suspect who assaulted the teacher has been taken into custody.

The incident occurred at Kale Şehit Ferhat Bozkurt Primary School in the Kırıkkale city center. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out for unknown reasons between the primary school teacher M.K. and a student's parent, Y.Ç. During the argument, which escalated quickly, teacher M.K. was assaulted by Y.Ç. Upon notification by those who witnessed the fight, health and police teams were dispatched to the school. 

TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

M.K., who was injured by a punch to the jaw, was taken to the hospital after receiving intervention from health teams. Y.Ç., who assaulted the teacher, was taken into custody by police teams. It was learned that the processing of Y.Ç. at the police station is ongoing. 

In a written statement regarding the matter, the Kırıkkale Provincial Directorate of National Education stated, “A primary school teacher in our city was subjected to physical violence and assaulted by a student's parent at the school where they work. Our Provincial Director of National Education, Rıza Aydın, visited our teacher, who was discharged after being treated in the emergency room following transport to the hospital by ambulance, conveyed his get-well wishes, and received information about our teacher's condition from the doctor. A judicial investigation has been initiated regarding the incident. We condemn this act of violence against a teacher and extend our get-well wishes to our teacher and the entire educational community. We hope that such incidents and similar ones will not happen again.”
