Passenger plane crashes in Kazakhstan
A passenger plane belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines, operating a Baku-Grozny flight, made an emergency landing at Aktau Airport in Kazakhstan after sending an "SOS" signal over the Caspian Sea.
The Kazakhstan Ministry of Emergency Situations announced that a passenger plane traveling from Baku to Grozny has crashed. Authorities stated that there are survivors on the Azerbaijan Airlines flight.
According to information in the Azerbaijani press, the plane, which sent an "SOS" signal over the Caspian Sea, subsequently attempted an emergency landing at Aktau Airport in Kazakhstan.
Initial reports indicate there were 67 passengers and 5 crew members on board.

It was stated that there were 72 people on the crashed passenger plane.
Kazakh authorities reported that there are survivors from the crashed plane.
