'Pedophilia' scandal on Ekşi Sözlük

Allegations regarding the abuse of a baby have surfaced on the social media platform Ekşi Sözlük. Following the spread of the incident on social media, many users expressed their outrage. The Ministry of Family and Social Services has issued a statement regarding the matter.

STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTRY

The following statement was made on the Ministry's social media account:

“It has been deemed appropriate to make the following statement regarding the allegations that there are images on social media of an individual abusing a baby.

Our police units and Ministry teams took immediate action following the report. Efforts to identify and locate the individual are ongoing.

Our General Directorate of Legal Services has initiated the necessary processes to obtain an access ban for the content in question and to file a criminal complaint against the individual. As soon as the individual is identified, the relevant steps will be taken immediately.

On this occasion, we would like to reiterate that the best interest of our children is our fundamental principle. The possibility of this being violated, or the slightest suspicion of abuse against children, is treated as a report for us. We always act in this direction and will continue to act with the same sensitivity. Respectfully announced to the public.”
