Perinçek's advisor on trial for fraud

Vatan Party leader Doğu Perinçek’s advisor Emin Adanur appeared for the 4th hearing of his trial at the Bursa 11th High Criminal Court.

PRISON SENTENCE REQUESTED

In the trial where Adanur is being prosecuted for collecting money from millions of citizens without delivering their homes, the prosecutor requested in his opinion that Emin Adanur, who is being tried for "qualified fraud," be punished for the grievances of 33 victims. It was requested that Adanur be sentenced to 3 to 10 years in prison for each victim separately. For the complainants who purchased more than one apartment, the prosecutor requested that the sentence be further aggravated.

According to a report by İsmail Arı from Birgün, Adanur, who faces decades in prison, stated that he "wants to compensate the victims for their losses and requested to be granted time until the next hearing to do so." In other words, Adanur will either return the money to the citizens he victimized or deliver their homes. The hearing was adjourned to April 26.

SUPPORTED BY AKP'S FARUK ÇELİK

Citizens who paid hundreds of thousands of liras to former Bursaspor President Emin Adanur in 2021 with the dream of becoming homeowners were never delivered their homes. The housing victims allege that their apartments were sold to three different people at once. It is stated that Adanur, who has been convicted of approximately 10 crimes and is being tried for allegedly committing many others, is supported by former AKP minister Faruk Çelik.

Adanur, who joined the Vatan Party in February 2023, was appointed as the Vatan Party Chairman's Advisor. Vatan Party Chairman Doğu Perinçek had previously defended Adanur, claiming that "Emin Adanur is not a fraudster."
