Person taken to courthouse on suspicion of drug dealing commits suicide in Adana
A person taken to the courthouse in Adana on suspicion of drug dealing ended his life by jumping into the stairwell from the 3rd floor. The lifeless body of 35-year-old Oktay Güleryüz was taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy.
In Adana, a suspect apprehended on allegations of drug dealing escaped from security forces while handcuffed at the courthouse where he was brought for trial, and committed suicide by jumping into the stairwell from the 3rd floor.
The incident occurred at the courthouse on Mustafa Kemal Paşa Boulevard in the Yüreğir district. According to reports, Oktay Güleryüz (35) was apprehended by police for narcotics-related offenses.
Following processing at the police station, the suspect was referred to the courthouse on charges of "drug trafficking."
JUMPED INTO THE STAIRWELL
While hearings were ongoing at the Duty Magistrate Court, Güleryüz managed to break free from security forces despite being handcuffed and jumped into the stairwell from the 3rd floor. Medical teams arriving at the scene determined that Güleryüz had died.
Güleryüz's body was taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy.
