In Kocaeli, a person who lost their balance fell from the escalator railings onto the roof of a cafe.

The incident occurred during the night on the escalators leading up to the Mimar Sinan Overpass, located on the D-100 Highway in the Ömerağa neighborhood.

According to the information obtained, Nusret K., who was leaning against the escalator railings, lost his balance and fell 3 meters onto the roof of the cafe.

Upon notification, health, police, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene. Nusret K., who was brought down from where he fell by firefighters, was taken to the hospital by medical teams. It was learned that Nusret K. sustained fractures to his body.

An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
