Person who threatened CHP Chairman Özgür Özel released
The suspect who made threatening posts on social media by impersonating the person who attacked CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has been released by the court under judicial control conditions.
An individual named Selçuk Tengioğlu had attacked CHP Chairman Özgür Özel at the exit of the ceremony held at the Atatürk Cultural Center following the passing of DEM Party Istanbul Deputy and Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Sırrı Süreyya Önder, and was arrested following the incident.
RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
The suspect named Fevzi Barın G., who made threats against Özgür Özel on social media by impersonating the attacker Selçuk Tengioğlu, was released by the court under judicial control conditions.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Security forces took action after the threatening posts directed at CHP Chairman Özgür Özel were made from an account opened on social media under the name 'Selçuk Tengioğlu'. The suspect, who was detained in an operation, was referred to the Anatolian Courthouse to have their statement taken.
