Pervin Buldan responds to CHP's Burcu Köksal: 'We are dying for you'

CHP Afyonkarahisar Mayor Burcu Köksal, who did not attend the protest against the arrest of Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer and the subsequent appointment of a trustee in his place, explained the reasons for her decision. During a live broadcast on TV100, when asked "Why didn't you go to the rally in Esenyurt?", Köksal cited "I will not be at a rally where DEM Party members are present" as her reason. 

DEM Party Van MP Pervin Buldan responded to these remarks by the CHP's Köksal via her social media account. Buldan said, "We are dying for you..." 

Burcu Köksal had not participated in the protest held in Esenyurt despite the call from CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, a situation that was met with backlash. 

WHAT DID BURCU KÖKSAL SAY? 

The statements made by CHP Afyonkarahisar Mayor Burcu Köksal were as follows: 

"I am a citizen who has reached these positions thanks to the Republic, who has studied and practiced her profession thanks to the rights granted by Atatürk, and who has been elected to engage in politics. Therefore, I have no business with those who have issues with Atatürk, the Republic, the flag, or the homeland. I will not be together with those who do not stand for the National Anthem or who do not rejoice in the National Team's victories.

(Regarding the rally in Esenyurt) I will not be at a rally or on a bus where DEM Party members are present and where the co-chair of the DEM Party is speaking. Everyone knows this. My stance against the DEM is clear."
