In the photo in question, it can be seen that the mother, Güran, had her hands handcuffed while giving her statement.

It was reported that in her statement, Yüksel Güran mentioned that she had given 20 TL to the daughter of their neighbor, Nevzat Bahtiyar—who confessed to leaving Narin's lifeless body by the stream—once, and 40 TL another time, 12 days before the incident.
