PKK/YPG's so-called defense industry chief Fahrettin Tolun neutralized

Fahrettin Tolun, codenamed "Hayri Serhat," who operated as the so-called heavy weapons and defense industry chief for the PKK/YPG terrorist organization in the Rumeylan region of Syria and was among the oldest terrorists to join the organization's rural cadres, had been involved in armed activities at a leadership level within the organization in Iran, Iraq, and Syria.

Tolun, one of the organization's high-ranking officials in Syria, had been attempting to evade operations conducted against the organization by the National Intelligence Organization (MIT). Tolun was neutralized in the operation carried out.

He held leadership positions in various areas across the rural regions of Turkey, Iran, and Iraq. Tolun moved to Syria in 2019 and began operating as the organization's so-called heavy weapons and defense unit chief. In addition to an Interpol 'Red Notice,' Tolun, who was responsible for the weapons used in the organization's actions against Turkey, also had case files opened against him by the Iğdır and Erzurum High Criminal Courts for the crime of "membership in a terrorist organization."
