Police intervene against HKP members attempting to march to Taksim Square

The HKP members, who wanted to reach Taksim where police had taken extensive security measures, were met with a harsh intervention by police teams.

According to the report in Cumhuriyet, the HKP members, carrying party banners, wanted to march from Beşiktaş to Taksim Square to celebrate May Day. The police intervened against the group harshly.

During the intervention, many people were detained with their hands cuffed behind their backs. It was observed that HKP executives were also among those detained.

The detentions, which included party executives, took place while they were trying to reach Taksim from Beşiktaş. The police intervened against the group harshly and placed the party members into police vehicles.
