Police officer accused of leaking information to drug trafficker is already in prison for MOSSAD espionage
It has emerged that former police officer Ömer Faruk Gezer, who was subject to a detention warrant as part of an operation against drug traffickers, was arrested and imprisoned in March 2024 during a MOSSAD operation. Gezer is also accused of leaking information to Orhan Üngan between 2020 and 2021 in a drug trafficking case.

The 'Kuyu-4' operation was carried out against 4 separate criminal organizations in 12 provinces centered in Istanbul, under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the General Directorate of Security's Anti-Narcotic Crimes Department.
During the operations, 47 people were apprehended, including Mert Orhan Ünğan, İbrahim Kurtar, Aydın Razaki, and Recep Özyıldız, who are alleged to have led the organizations.
32 people, including Orhan Üngan, nicknamed 'The Ghost', were arrested and sent to prison.
Among those arrested are two former police officers.

POLICE OFFICER WHO LEAKED INFORMATION WAS ARRESTED IN MOSSAD OPERATION
In the HTS records examined upon the request of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was found that police officer Görkem Özgel, who worked in a desk job, obtained personal information and forwarded it to Ömer Faruk Gezer via a communication program called İMO. Ömer Faruk Gezer then used the communication program SKY-ECC to deliver this information to Orhan Üngan, who was arrested on drug trafficking charges. As a result of the police investigation, it was revealed that Orhan Üngan made payments to the police officers under the guise of 'vacation money' in exchange for this information.
It has emerged that Ömer Faruk Gezer, who sent personal information to Orhan Üngan between 2020 and 2021, was arrested and sent to prison in March 2024 during a MOSSAD espionage operation.
THEY ALSO LEAKED INFORMATION ON PALESTINIANS TO MOSSAD
It was alleged that the suspects, including Ömer Faruk Gezer, sold the information they obtained to MOSSAD during an operation conducted by MIT and the Istanbul Police Department's Anti-Terrorism Branch in March 2024.
The teams, who identified the identities and addresses of 8 suspects determined to have leaked the information of some Palestinians and their companies to MOSSAD in exchange for money, apprehended 7 people in the operation they organized.
During the search of the home of İsmail K., a police officer dismissed due to FETÖ, who was among the police officers detained within the scope of the operation, 4.5 kilograms of cocaine and a precision scale were seized.
It was determined that Özkan Ş., who was caught during the operation, had been dismissed from the police force, Ömer Faruk Gezer had resigned of his own volition, and Ercan K. was a retired police officer.
