Police officer wounded in Syria dies
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that Senior Chief Police Officer Hüseyin Şimşek, who was wounded in the Dabiq attack, has died.
Senior Chief Police Officer Hüseyin Şimşek, who was temporarily assigned to the Syria Task Force from the İzmir Special Operations Branch Directorate, was wounded during harassment fire by members of a terrorist organization.
Şimşek, who was taken to the Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine Research and Application Hospital, could not be saved and died.
