Police raid venues in Istanbul: 7 people detained in drug investigation involving celebrities

A comprehensive investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Bureau of Investigation for Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes is ongoing. The case file includes charges of "possession of drugs or stimulants for personal use," "facilitating drug use," and "encouraging, mediating, or providing a venue for prostitution." Simultaneous operations were carried out at various locations across Istanbul as part of the investigation.

POLICE OPERATION AT ENTERTAINMENT VENUE IN MASLAK

In the first phase of the investigation, teams from the Istanbul Narcotics Crimes Investigation Branch conducted a raid on the entertainment venue Klein Phönix in Maslak as part of the drug case involving famous figures.

Approximately 100 narcotics police officers participated in the operation, during which all entrances and exits to the venue were sealed. While individuals inside were subjected to body searches, a detailed search was conducted throughout the premises.

GENDARMERIE ENTERS BEBEK HOTEL

Another address for the operation was the Bebek Hotel, a frequent choice for famous figures.

Following instructions from the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, gendarmerie teams raided the hotel as part of the drug investigation.

Searches, which also involved narcotics dogs, continued in various sections of the hotel. After completing their work, the teams left the hotel.

SELEN GÖRGÜZEL AND CAN YAMAN IN CUSTODY

According to information reported by the pro-government newspaper Sabah, notable names were also detained during the operation. It was stated that Selen Görgüzel, who recently returned to Turkey after being eliminated from Survivor, and the famous actor Can Yaman were among those detained.

It was learned that a total of 7 people, including Selen Görgüzel, Ayşe Sağlam, Ceren Alper, and Can Yaman, are currently in custody as part of the investigation.

SEARCH AT MUZAFFER YILDIRIM'S RESIDENCE

A search was also conducted at the residence of producer Muzaffer Yıldırım, who owns the Bebek Hotel, as part of the case. It was alleged that the residence had been converted into a venue for illegal gambling.

During the raid, it was claimed that a croupier found in the house, an assistant alleged to have arranged appointments, and a woman responsible for cleaning were caught attempting to destroy evidence of the crime.

MELİSA ŞAHİN ARRESTED

Within the framework of the drug investigation, it was reported that model and presenter Melisa Şahin, previously known for the competitions "Bu Tarz Benim" and "İşte Benim Stilim," was detained again.

Şahin was arrested by the court and sent to prison.

19 PEOPLE HAD BEEN ARRESTED

The prosecutor's office requested the arrest of Bebek Hotel Manager Arif Altunbulak, hotel owner Muzaffer Yıldırım, as well as Ceyda Ersoy, Gizem Özköroğlu, Ece Cerenbeli, Burak Altındağ, Sevgi Taşdan, Duygu Açıksöz, Nevin Şimşek, Merve Uslu, Lerna Elmas, Hakan Yıldız, Koray Beşli, Berna Aracı, Gülsüm Bayrak, Veysel Avcı, Özge Bitmez, Suat Yıldız, and Merve Eryiğit.

Additionally, judicial control with the condition of "house arrest" was requested for Binnur Buse Alper, Sedef Selen Atmaca, and Gözde Anuk.

The criminal judgeship of peace decided to arrest 19 suspects, while issuing judicial control decisions in the form of house arrest for 3 people.

On the other hand, Doğukan Güngör, Alya Şahinler, Ceren Yıldırım, and Saniye Deniz, who previously had travel bans, were released after their statements at the prosecutor's office.
