Police shuttle bus and bus collide
A traffic accident involving a collision between a police shuttle bus and a bus in Edirne has left 11 people injured, 10 of whom are police officers.
According to the information obtained, a shuttle bus with license plate 22 DH 245, carrying police officers who had completed their shift change at the Kapıkule Border Gate, collided with a bus with license plate 34 GPC 799, driven by Sıddık B. and carrying tourist passengers, on the Kapıkule-Edirne road.
10 POLICE OFFICERS INJURED
Upon notification, numerous police, ambulance, fire department, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. The 10 injured police officers and the shuttle bus driver were taken to hospitals by ambulance after receiving initial medical intervention at the scene.
Traffic on the Kapıkule-Edirne road was managed in a controlled manner due to the accident. The bus driver was taken to the police station to provide a statement.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
