Police stand guard at Cem Garipoğlu's grave
Security measures have been taken at Karacaahmet Cemetery following the decision to exhume the grave of Cem Garipoğlu, who murdered Münevver Karabulut in 2009, on October 3. Bone samples will be taken from Garipoğlu's remains for DNA identification. Police teams are standing guard at the cemetery for security purposes.
Münevver Karabulut was murdered by Cem Garipoğlu in a villa in Bahçeşehir in 2009. Garipoğlu was found dead in his cell on October 10, 2014.

GRAVE TO BE OPENED ON OCTOBER 3
Following claims questioning whether the deceased person was indeed Cem Garipoğlu, the Karabulut family requested an exhumation through their lawyers. Accepting the request, the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued an instruction to the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the opening of Cem Garipoğlu's grave. The prosecutor's office decided that the grave at Karacaahmet Cemetery in Üsküdar would be opened on Thursday, October 3, at 11:00 AM. Bone samples will be taken from Garipoğlu's remains for identity matching.

Meanwhile, it was observed that police teams are standing guard at Karacaahmet Cemetery, where Cem Garipoğlu's grave is located, to ensure security ahead of the scheduled exhumation.
