Pope Leo XIV departs from Turkey: Minister Ersoy and Governor Gül see him off
Pope Leo XIV departed from Turkey following a farewell ceremony held at Atatürk Airport.
On the final day of his visit to Istanbul, Pope Leo XIV, who held meetings at the Armenian Apostolic Cathedral and the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, subsequently arrived at Atatürk Airport.
Pope Leo XIV, who was greeted by Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Ambassador Ahmet Cemil Miroğlu, and other officials, boarded the aircraft awaiting him.
The Pope, who waved to those who came to see him off from the stairs of the aircraft, departed from Turkey to travel to Lebanon.
